Hello everyone. A Happy New Year to you all.
I have received a letter from DWP saying that I have had £10 paid into my account. It does not say what it is for, so I phoned them (ESA) to ask. The person I spoke to said that it could only be a late payment of the Christmas bonus but I explained that I had received that and a letter explaining what it was in December. I asked if it was an over-payment and he just repeated that it must be my Christmas bonus. I even offered to re-pay it but he said that I did not need to.
Have any of you had the same?
It is worrying that the people employed by the government to administer ESA don't seem to know what is going on.

Hi,
I receive this each year but with an accompanying letter explaining it is the Christmas bonus!
Now i have to fill in ALL those forms again to re-apply! SO silly!

The only other thing that it could be is a cold weather payment.... DWP only pay one Christmas bonus even if you get more than one benefit.. i.e ESA, DLA.... I know on my DLA when I get my Christmas bonus it will show on my bank statement as DLA XB so maybe check if there are any letters afterwards which may explain....
